Diane has been volunteering in various groups for 35 years across a number of age groups. She has served on the board of Mid Offaly Housing Association for many years in various roles. Diane has been on the interview panel for a number of years with Mid Offaly Housing Assoc.

Ruth Keane – Midlands Simon Community
Ruth has been working in Offaly frontline homeless service since 2010. She is the manager of the Midland’s Simon Community Emergency Service in Tullamore. This service is the only emergency accommodation in Offaly for single people.
Ruth’s concerns about homelessness in Offaly and the social exclusion caused by homelessness is why she is seeking election to the Housing SPC.

Stephen Keogh - Offaly Disability Equality Network (ODEN)
Stephen is an active member of Offaly Disability Equality Network (ODEN) and has played an active & hands on role to make our streets and businesses more accessible for people with disabilities. He has also been involved with initiatives to address dog fouling. Stephen has also completed a self-advocacy course this year with ODEN. Stephen is also involved with MS Ireland Offaly Branch for many years to receive & offer support to fellow MS suffers and to advocate on their behalf.

Michael Newham –Environment
Michael Newham will listen to & advocate on behalf of Offaly based environmental groups, especially where vision aligns with the recently launched Irish government ‘climate action plan’.
Michael’s experience in the environmental arena stretches back 25 years & includes co-founding / directorship of organisations / companies such as > “access it” (first funded ‘social economy project’); “Cloughjordan eco-village” (first environmentally focused ‘intentional community’); “go car-car-sharing” (Irelands largest shared-car service); “we create enterprise centre” (award winning ‘creative hub’); etc.
Michael’s latest contract is with Laois county council where he’ll be working on rapidly expanding “low-carbon co-working facilities” throughout the midlands

Anna Orman - Environment
Anna is an active member of the Clara Heritage Society, and other relevant organisations her focus is regeneration, conservation, and sustainability, Anna holds a degree in Archaelogy, plus in media & communication. In 2021 Anna created a video titled "Clara's Industrial Heritage. A cultural and educational initiative" to create an awareness of how the sustainable reuse of the town's industrial heritage, holds the key to its economic transformation.
